Lotte-Holzer-Camp

Berlin, Germany

For several decades, the Dutch Ecumenical Congregation in Berlin has been organizing the "Lotte-Holzer-Camp".

Lotte Holzer was a member of a group of young Jewish communists involved in the resistance against Hitler-fascism. They were betrayed and most of them were executed in 1942.

The participants in the camp are going to do four hours of simple gardening work at a resistance memorial site on working days. In discussions, presentations and excursions they will deal with the topics of past and present racism, forced labour, war and violence on the one hand, and positive experiences with and examples of equality, human rights and dialogue come true on the other hand.
